Are You The Same Person You Were As A Child?

<p>I ran across an interesting article in The New Yorker Magazine (issue Oct. 10, 2022); Joshua Rothman&rsquo;s &ldquo;Becoming You&rdquo;. Before reading any further, take a moment to reflect on your childhood memories. It&rsquo;s slightly difficult, isn&rsquo;t it?</p> <p>Rothman suggests &ldquo;If we could see our childish selves more clearly, we might have a better sense of the course and character of our lives.&rdquo; He goes on, at an early age &ldquo;Is the fix already in, or will our stories have surprising twists and turns?&rdquo;.</p> <p>In essence, you may be a continuer, cherishing and hanging on to that younger self. Or possibly a divider, who separates early life from their current life., appreciating a multipart life.
