When Did Humans Learn to Ride Horses?

<p>Noother animal has changed our mobility like horses. They were the backbone of communications, logistics, and troop movement until the early 20th century. But when did we first ride horses? Who were the people to do so?</p> <p>Scholars are divided on the question of the origins of horse riding.</p> <p>One school of thought proposes that horse riding started in the fourth millennium BC, shortly after domesticating the animals. Let&rsquo;s call this the&nbsp;<em>&ldquo;early rider theory&rdquo;.</em></p> <p>Others say we started riding horses 2,000 years after they were first tamed.
