Why Is Your Religion Better Than Mine?
<p>That’s how old I was when I found out that my religion wasn’t the only major religion out there, and the world doesn’t exclusively function according to the Judeo-Christian view. I grew up in Nigeria. You probably have heard a few things about Nigeria, but if you haven’t; it is a very religious society. There are 2 major religions in Nigeria; Christianity and Islam. I grew up in the South and East, predominantly Christian parts of Nigeria. I would attend church every Sunday, and at least 2 other times every week. My family was also very religious, so we would say prayers every morning as well as before every meal. You can imagine that my entire life was centred around the Christian religion. Although half of the population of Nigeria is Muslim, I didn’t pay much attention to Islam because I had been taught that “…Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life…”</p>
