We All Have Ghosts Of Relationships Past
<p>When the wine gets flowing, my girlfriends and I gather and talk about our ex-boyfriends.</p>
<p>We laugh, we compare, and we bemoan the choices of our past selves.</p>
<p>Quite often a “What were you thinking?” can be heard between the clinks of glass, followed by laughter and groans.</p>
<p>Beyond the humor, though, I find there is something much more important to take from these failed relationships — a look at <em>why</em> they failed.</p>
<p>In some cases, there have been very distinctive personality traits of the men that I can point to as being the reason — I was smart to get out when I did.</p>
