Who Was the First Person Ever in Recorded History?

The prehistoric era was a time when history wasn’t written down. The first written records discovered are from over 5,000 years ago in ancient Egypt. It is also where recorded history is generally accepted to have begun.

Historians and archaeologists have spent centuries trying to decode the scripts and symbols of people that walked the earth millennia ago. In their work arose an exciting question. What was the first human name ever recorded?

I feel the need to preface this discussion with the fact that writing, as a skill, has progressed and developed significantly over the course of human history. Ancient humans lived for thousands of years without written records of any sort before somebody realized it would be a good idea to start noting things down.
