A More Productive Layout in Unity

One of the most frustrating things in using the default editor layout in Unity is the fact that you have to switch back and forth between the scene view and game view. The good news is, this can be solved by moving the different tabs around, creating a much more productive layout.

The first thing we want to do is, on the top right corner of the editor we select layout, and switch to the “Tall” layout.

What this does for us is stretch our scene view vertically across the screen, giving us more room to work with.

Next we want to take the game view and snap it directly below the scene view. Lucky for us, our tabs are easily customizable by just clicking and dragging it into place.
