<p>I was easily angered during the politically hot 2016 US presidential campaign and the Trump presidency. My anger exploded in political conversations, especially at my sister-in-law’s house with her Trump-supporting boyfriend, a gun enthusiast. Luckily, he is not violent. But I pushed his limits.</p>
<p>And what did I get for my anger and aggressiveness? Lots of stress and regret. I would be shaking after one of these encounters and sorry for what I said. But I thought it was okay because what I said about Trump was true.</p>
<p>But just because something is true doesn’t mean you should say it — especially if it hurts and offends another person.</p>
