Almost 30 and Not Feeling Pressured

My elders seem to think that I am not quite normal.

How can a person be almost 30 and not want to get married or start a family, living a life dedicated to the household?

To be honest, I don’t really understand it myself. Why should a person have to get married and have children just because they are almost 30?

In their eyes, it seems like turning 30 is a dividing line.

If you haven’t achieved certain things by then, it’s like you’re a failure.

This includes, but is not limited to, getting married, having children, having a successful career, and maintaining a stable social circle.

Unfortunately, I only have two years left until this “deadline” and I can see the “death sentence” looming.

But people are always like this.

They panic in the first few years when they see the blade about to fall, but when it actually gets closer, they seem to become more accepting.

At least when it comes to age, I think it’s normal for some people to be early and some to be late.

Some people have figured things out while others are still searching for answers and pondering.
