Diagnosis:
- Vertigo
- Hypertension
Medications:
- Meclizine: Take 25 mg by mouth 3 times a day (TID) as needed for dizziness.
Care Instructions:
- Move slowly when changing positions to help reduce dizziness.
- Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you feel dizzy.
- Monitor your blood pressure at home, if possible, and record the results to discuss with your doctor.
Follow-Up:
- Follow up with your Primary Care Physician (PCP) this week to discuss your blood pressure management and address any ongoing symptoms.
Reasons to Return to the Emergency Department:
- New or worsening neurological symptoms (such as weakness, numbness, difficulty speaking, or severe headache)
- Persistent or worsening dizziness despite medication
- Chest pain, shortness of breath, or sudden vision changes
