Post-L4-Epidurals

I got home shortly after Bilateral L4 Epidurals on 09/11/2023. Local anesthetic wore off middle of night. Had trouble sleeping. To cope, I started drafting you - dear supportive friends, family, activists & artists - the following, cursory, initial update.

Afterwards, I was able to sleep for 3 hours. Last night, I slept almost twice that (in two batches).

A longer story of all this, I shall save for another day. For now…

The Doctor says the Epidurals won't kick-in for about 2 weeks. So we won't know how much or if they help reduce the pains in my glutes & lower extremities til then.

Meanwhile, I already feel continuing severe pains in my previously abused L4 into my sacralized L5-S1 that could warrant a Microdiscectomy surgery - later this year?

I first need these 2-4 weeks to try to recover a bit from the Epidurals procedure I just had.

Then start physical therapy in mid-October, for intensive assessments on the above.

So yes, we may go through the worry about potential paralysis and/or numbness below the waist all over again soon.
