Tan zi xi’s ‘Plastic Ocean’
<p>Tan zi xi is a Singaporean artist whose installation ‘Plastic Ocean’ is exhibited at Sassoon Dock Art Project as a part of St+art Mumbai Urban Art Festival, 2017.</p>
<p>Speaking about her experience at Sassoon Dock Art Project, Tan zi xi says,</p>
<p>“Since the completion of ‘Plastic Ocean’, many locals have started sharing their views and stories of how plastics have destroyed their surrounding environment, with beaches stinking and littered with plastic.</p>
<p>I believe that ‘Plastic Ocean’ is a piece of installation that can easily resonate with the locals and hopefully creates an encounter where one starts to consider the consequences of our individual wastes and over consumption culture”</p>
