4 Everyday, Plastic-Free Products You May Not Know About (But Should)
<p>It’s impossible to avoid using plastic these days. In June 2023, a Los Angeles Times environmental reporter accepted an assignment to <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2023-08-15/a-reporter-kept-a-diary-of-her-plastic-use-it-was-soul-crushing#:~:text=It%20was%20soul%2Dcrushing,annual%20plastic%20waste%20gets%20recycled." rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">track how much plastic she used in one week.</a> The experience, in her words, was “soul-crushing.” Even as a responsible, knowledgable consumer, the reporter could not believe the volume of plastics she used on a daily basis.</p>
<p>Over the last couple years, I’ve been tracking my family’s plastics use. I’m attempting to live by the simple motto of “Reduce. Reuse. Refuse. Recycle.” Like the journalist, I’ve had my moments of overwhelm, but I continue to press on.</p>
