My least controversial opinion, though it ought to be voiced, is that to fully feel life is to take pleasure in mundanities. Moving is undeniably one of the fundamental cores of life, and walking is the privilege that most of us have had from the get go: something we started before we were even fully conscious of anything. For that reason, I think it’s often difficult to conceptualise the fact that one can use The Walk to enrich life, not employ it for a merely utilitarian function of getting from A to B. I have become increasingly conscious of the fact that I rarely ever see people my age walking around the city alone. Mostly running to catch a friend, or a bus.</p>
