No News is Good News at La Octava TV
<p>Today is the last day for news programming at La Octava, Grupo Radio Centro <a href="https://twitter.com/laoctavadigital/status/1509946194545446914" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">announced in a press release</a>. Beginning tomorrow, the channel will shift to a “100% entertainment” lineup as part of what is billed as a “change in strategy”.</p>

<p>The short release notes that two La Octava programs, <em>El Octagono </em>and<em> En Contexto</em>, will go online-only. The main newscasts, Aristegui Noticias and programs hosted by Luisa Cantú and Jesús Escobar, will continue to air on XHRED-FM 88.1. Meanwhile, TV viewers will see “high-quality content” based on “actualities, documentaries, and films”, per the release.</p>
