Join a Nonprofit Board
<p>We’re all busier than usual right now with the holidays. Yet we also seem to make time to reflect on the year to come. Whether you consider New Year’s resolutions or not, you probably are thinking of 2024.</p>
<p>If you’re not sure how you will fill extra time as you relax your current schedule or retire, consider becoming a board member at a nonprofit. If you’re already retired, even better! This is a perfect way to impactfully use your extra time while helping to make the world a better place.</p>
<p>As I age, volunteering seems even more important to me. And as one who is a frequent reader of writers who are already retired, I see many wanting to fill their extra time with actions that are worthwhile to them, and possibly others. I can tell you that joining a nonprofit board of directors will add joy and a sense of giving to your life.</p>
