Let’s look at my experience with the NHS… I requested an MRI scan last October. I could barely walk at times and was in decline. I’d started some physio exercises from a book, but the benefits hadn’t kicked in yet, and I was in a lot of pain.
I couldn’t get a doctor’s appointment, but was able to see the nurse practitioner, who told me I had to see a physiotherapist, who could refer me for an MRI.
I booked to see the physiotherapist. He said he’d refer me for an MRI, but didn’t — he actually put me on a waiting list to be assessed for my suitability for an MRI. Meanwhile, he gave me exercises that made my problem dramatically worse.
