Neil Frawley NBA Blog: Post 29

It’s the right comment to make. Thing is that in a city like Boston that feels they’re supposed to win every year and are ready to be done with him because of the 8 turnovers, but look over the fact Jaylen’s been consistently this teams best player on both sides of the ball — I believe that statement is going to get him traded, and it’s probably what he wants.

To spend 6 years with a team — get close to the finals and win every year and go out like that — Game 7 on your own court in a building that is as hostile to its own team when they don’t win as they are to their opponent, I don’t blame him for saying things that sound like “I want to be here and keep trying,” but mean instead “I really don’t want to be here at all.”
