The Qur’an and Self

<p>Growing up as a Muslim can be quite the challenge. We try to get answers to many questions: What is&nbsp;<em>harram</em>&nbsp;(legally forbidden)? What is halal (legally obligated or permissible)? Who should I support? Black Lives Matter? LGBTQ+? Where do I stand in the &ldquo;Science versus Religion&rdquo; debate? The list of questions can seem endless. To make things worse, every few years, a controversy arises surrounding a national Muslim figure. It can be quite the whirlwind. What then? Especially for those who do not live in a community with many Muslims, it can be difficult to find guidance and direction. The internet is filled with different opinions that sometimes clash or contradict.
