Nancy Eagleson: The Shocking Murder

Nancy Eagleson had just started her freshman year, at Paulding High School, in Paulding, Ohio. She had been friendly, and well-liked by her classmates. Nancy had been a member of 4-H club, and had loved attending the Church of Christ. She’d helped out in the community, and had volunteered at the church.

On November 13, 1960, fourteen-year-old Nancy was abducted, and murdered. Her case was never solved. Despite the decades-long police investigation, they were never able to determine who had killed Nancy Eagleson.

That Sunday morning, the Eagleson family went to church, then ate their Sunday lunch. That afternoon, Nancy, and her five-year-old sister, Sheryl, walked a few blocks to the movie theatre. They saw a double feature, then went to a nearby restaurant to drink some soda. At 7 PM, they started to walk home. Nancy and Sheryl had no idea that their lives were about to change drastically on the short walk back to their home.
