Exaggerated Paintings of My Husband

This is my 4th attempt to share my watercolor portraits of my husband.

Every other attempt resulted in an essay about a distantly related topic. That’s quite common for my Autisitc and ADHD mind. One topic triggers thoughts on another topic, which makes me think of something else, and suddenly I’m writing an essay on something miles apart.

Before I let that happen again, let me share what I intended to do.

I’m typically on Medium sharing my thoughts about autism, paired with one piece of art at a time.

Since I’ve been making art my entire life, I have an entire library to choose from. What most people don’t know is that I typically make batches of art when I’m in the mood.

My batch of paintings about my husband came about four months ago.

I thought it would be nice to for once share all of the art in one place.

I chose to use watercolor to make political cartoon style portraits of husband. While they look somewhat like him, most are a far cry. I’m lucky he doesn’t mind.

Visit Now
