What to expect when you move to Amsterdam!

It has been 6 months since I made the big move to Amsterdam and it has come with a whirl of emotions too. I am still very much in the honeymoon stage, and honestly it has been the best decision of my life, but maybe a little un-prepared for what to expect so maybe this will help you!

IT GETS LONELY!

You will get lonely, probably cry and think you made the worst decision. At the end of the day you are leaving your ‘tribe’ essentially, your family, friends, work mates, usual routine. It is only natural to feel like that. Sit with it, talk to your friends via FaceTime, go out and meet people, talk to your work.

London is a 45 min flight away, if you need a reset with old friends & work, do it.

I decided after 6 months to join a Netball club, and it was the best decision. And weirdly the first person I met was a Product Designer, so a better way to network too!
