“I’ve Paid For More Abortions Than Any Woman in This Room”
<p>He didn’t have to. Most men don’t. Most men simply don’t talk about it even though we all know how common it is.</p>
<p>Some abortions are encouraged and completely motivated by a man's feelings about abortion and his readiness to have a child. There are women who have terminated a pregnancy because<em> “</em>he didn’t want it<em>.” </em>They could have gone on to have the child but the man not wanting anything to do with the pregnancy, was just too devastating. Many women don’t want to raise a baby on their own. And some don’t want to have to choose between the man or the baby.</p>
<p>This makes up some, but not all, abortion stories. I’m not saying that other stories don’t exist, but a man sitting in the driver’s seat in making the decision for a woman to terminate her pregnancy is not uncommon.</p>
