I Love Modern Controls In Street Fighter 6

I love playing fighting games. I play them badly but I love playing them. I always get excited looking at all the games available this year with Street Fighter having just released and Tekken and Mortal Kombat 1 due later on this year. I plan on playing those games on Day 1.

I usually do drop off after a few weeks of playing the games usually because I get distracted by a shiny new game. I am usually a physical game person because I like replaying games from time to time and worry about having access to my games once the servers turn off plus I like looking at my collection. Often I find that physical copies are cheaper than digital too. I also semi-joke that if I run into desperate times, I will sell off my collection if need be. These days however even with story modes I see the fighting game genre as Games as a Service now because of frequent balance patches, DLC characters and cosmetics. Therefore I did something that I wouldn’t usually do and bought Street Fighter 6 as a digital copy as I wanted it on my hard drive to dip in and out of whenever I felt like rather than having to swap discs whilst juggling a different main game. I also was able to get it digital at a similar price to the physical for once too.

The problem that I have always had is I struggle to remember the combo inputs especially when they get longer. It was always a bit of information overload for me between trying to deal with the opponent whilst also trying to remember various sequences. At best I was only marginally better than a button masher.
