IS ALL QUIET ON THE METAVERSE FRONT?

Covid-19 brought one of the most exciting sci-fi technologies to reality- the metaverse. On the 28th of October, 2021. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO, and Founder of Facebook made an <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sya_ET05N7E" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">announcement</a> that Facebook is changing its name to <a href="https://about.meta.com/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Meta</a>. This news sparked a lot of debate and generated a lot of attention, suddenly the whole online atmosphere was filled with chants of the metaverse. I even wrote my first article on the <a href="https://medium.com/coinmonks/metaverse-and-six-ways-it-will-affect-our-daily-lives-1528491c892f" rel="noopener">metaverse</a>. A few years down the line, COVID-19 is almost non-existent and suddenly talks of the metaverse stopped; it went as fast as it came. What exactly happened to the metaverse?
