My memories from Ceausescu time

What I remember from Ceausescu’s reign?
I was little and we stood in lines like other children, to help our parents, who were also standing in other lines, obviously.
Bread was rationed, so was butter and flour, sugar, in fact the basic foods were in portions, and we sometimes sat for hours
The queues started in the middle of the night, some woke up at 3, 4, 5.. Everything I received I was super controlled before.. You couldn’t really
think about what kinds of food to make and how much….a lot of junk you’d think, no question….

In fact, freedom was restricted.. We didn’t really know what was better said, beyond the borders of our country…. We were told in
permanent that the West is too much for us.. We all had to obey. There were also some rebels.. Father one of
they listened without anyone knowing Radio Free Europe.. There you could hear another one, the people there who were talking were obviously all
against the regime like almost everyone else, only that there was a deep fear of being heard by someone… it seemed that they could be heard
something and behind the walls.. the neighbors could also be spies for the security that was the faithful dog of the Ceausist regime.
I noticed that more and more people appear who miss that regime.. it’s like a strange nostalgia for that communist era..
