Maui; Lahaina, And Hawaii
<p>On some ruminating spiritual level the word “Indigenous” keeps cirulating in my brain. Many of us here on the mainland have met many Pacific Islanders displaced by the tourism and high cost of living in Hawaii. I often feel their pain. I know them by their tattoos. Very distinctive, very beautiful. I sense an innate graciousness in them?</p>
<p>I read the book Hawaii By James Michener in my early twenties. I was thinking about it along with my spinning the thread of Indigenous people. Note to self to reread it.</p>
