<p>I am a 67-year-old grandmother. Pop culture and I parted ways when the Beatles broke up. I haven’t worn stylish clothes since I outgrew my bell bottoms.</p>
<p>I often feel outdated and awkward in the presence of young people like my children and their children. I miss most hip (cool? groovy?) jokes. I have never played Mario or Minecraft.</p>
<p>So obviously, I knew nothing about Taylor Swift a few months ago. When all the buzz started out there about her big tour or some movie or something, I didn’t pay attention. Another young pop singer, all sparkly and flashy. Nope, not for me.</p>
