Macau (Macao) — My first visit to Macau (Macao)

Macau, or Macao, is a Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (MSAR) located on a small peninsula on China’s southern coast. In the 16th century, Macau (Macao) became a Portuguese trading post and evolved into a major hub for trade between China, Europe, and other parts of Asia. Because of the Portuguese connection, you can find examples of Portuguese architecture in Macau and Portuguese Custard Tarts. Portuguese still seems to be the official language of the local administration.
