A Brief History Lesson for White People Who Are Mad About Looting

<p>Ithink we can all agree that looting is bad.</p> <p>I don&rsquo;t rejoice when I see it, particularly when it affects small, local businesses. And I have real empathy for any person who has had their life&rsquo;s work destroyed.</p> <p><strong>That being said, I find all the recent pearl clutching among some White people on the subject to be a bit&nbsp;<em>rich</em>, shall we say.</strong></p> <p>How quickly and conveniently we forget about the systematic, centuries long looting of Black wealth that continues to this day.</p> <p>State sanctioned, organized criminal theft.
