White Women Are Jealous of Black Women
<p>It’s impossible to broach the topic of envy without sounding full of yourself. It’s associated with very negative attributes about a person. We condemn people for experiencing a normal, and abundant emotion. Especially, among women.</p>
<p>We’re not prepared to sit down and address the nuance of complex emotions. That means we’ll have to confront our own; every time we’ve felt envious of someone we thought was better than us.</p>
<p>Deep down we believe it’s true. That person was better than us. But, that’s the thing about envy. It’s not rooted in truth. It’s rooted in misguided social constructs.</p>
