It’s about the Degen (Degenerate) plays, something that was once the highlight of the bull market but is now ringing alarm bells. Let’s dive into why it might be time to rethink engaging in these ventures.</p>
<p>In the exhilarating rush of the bull market, many of us, including myself, were swept up in the fever of Degen plays. The thrill of doubling or tripling our money in a short span was undeniable. At times, it felt almost like gambling, where we keenly understood the rules and enjoyed the highs of quick successes. Yes, it was essentially gambling, but weren’t we all having fun?</p>
<p>But as time has progressed, the picture has become less rosy. Over the past year, these Degen projects have not been working as they used to. The influx of new capital into the space has dwindled, making these projects far less successful than they used to be. Despite this, I see individuals, even within our community, continuing to venture into these projects, only to face significant losses.</p>
<p>Recent events have proven that these ventures are not worth the risk anymore. New projects promising massive monthly returns are sprouting up, and while they manage to attract substantial investments, the risk associated with them is far too high. I’ve witnessed firsthand the abrupt closures of platforms such as iBots, Wolf Capital, and Avoate, leaving investors stranded.</p>
<p>My experiences have taught me a vital lesson in investment: the primary goal isn’t necessarily to garner the highest return possible. Instead, it is to safeguard your capital, to not lose the money you’ve invested. It’s time we step back and reassess our strategies. The pursuit of high payouts has blinded many to the inherent risks involved, sometimes leading to devastating losses that can derail one’s financial journey.</p>
