A Better Boston Itinerary

Due to its history, Boston gets more than its fair share of tourists. Many come to gawk at buildings and other sites where something important happened hundreds of years ago. Others enjoy walking through world famous college campuses or visit the wonderful museums.

I’m not saying this is wrong, but — like every city or region — there is far more on offer in Boston than tourist traps.

Here are my top three things to consider:

Cambridge and Somerville

The top recommendation I make for friends who ask where to go in Boston is “Cambridge. Somerville, too — if you’ve got the time.”

Cambridge is home to some lovely spots, like Central Square and Inman Square. The food is better, too.
