Life Perseveres in the Most Inhospitable Biomes

<p>Scientists use the term biome to categorize large pieces of land by their climate, vegetation, and life forms. Humans are fortunate to have temperate paradises in which to build our homes, as well as venture and explore earth&rsquo;s untouched corners. Temperatures here range from 9&deg;C in winter to 22&deg;C in summer (Skybrary 2024). Citrus and juicy fruits top the trees, and darting reptiles rustle through the underbrush.
