The so-called immersive art exhibitions became absolute blockbusters. The question is: why?

A couple of months ago, I was on a date, and as the guy was trying to make a conversation and showing interest, we ended up talking a bit about art. Curiously, one of the first things he asked about was those immersive art exhibitions that are really on hype right now, and as I politely ranted about it, he told me “Oh you are kind of traditional”.

Truth be told, art historians, curators, and critics are commonly said to be traditional, uptight and caught on the high art traditions to change and modernize points of view and that’s a criticism that I understand and accept as it tends to be true. And you can call me old-fashioned as much as you want but I don’t like nor understand immersive art exhibitions and I’m going to explain why.
