How I Got Into Data Engineering
<p>In the world of data, we often hear tales of high-flying graduates with degrees in Computer Science landing impressive gigs at tech giants. But let’s flip the script. Here I am, a Data Engineer who found his purpose in a health-tech company, with a somewhat unconventional pathway into the field.</p>
<p>Take a step back and imagine this — four companies, three years, and a whole lot of data. It’s been quite the ride, and not just a linear one plotted on a graph.</p>
<p>There are nuggets of wisdom to be found in the most unlikely places, and this journey taught me that education isn’t the be-all and end-all. Even though almost all my colleagues have had Master’s or Ph.D. degrees, I’m still working alongside them with a Junior College degree.</p>
