American Lawyers Of Japanese Heritage Honored

Japanese American Legacy Lawyers is a program that pays homage to past and present American attorneys of Japanese heritage. These are individuals who have contributed to bettering the lives of Japanese Americans and all Americans. An event honoring some special attorneys was held on November 2, 2023, in Washington, D.C. at the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC), Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C. It was hosted by Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) of the Embassy of Japan to the United States, Koichi Ai. Co-organizers of the event were The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund 50th Anniversary Fund, JICC Embassy of Japan, and the Japanese American Citizens League D.C. Chapter.
