Claudia’s heritage is deeply intertwined with the landscape of California and Chihuahua, Mexico. As the eldest of four girls, she was born into a family with profound roots in both places. Her mother’s story begins in California. Raised by her grandmother, a seasonal farmworker in California, she juggled laborious work while lovingly raising her children. In pursuit of a more stable life, she saved diligently and opened a small restaurant, planting the seeds of entrepreneurship and hard work in her family.
