Of goals, grief and gumption

At the beginning of October, Jade took us novice trekkers to Sussex to visit the beautiful white chalk cliffs by the sea. We divided ourselves into two groups, and I had the (mis?)fortune of being led by Jean Michel, who pranced his way across the seven hills in shoes that looked like fins. Meanwhile, I, with my flat feet and terribly fast heart rate, huffed and puffed my way up each cliff with a lot encouragement from friends. Special shoutout to Isha and Chaitanya for waiting for me to keep up! We landed at Eastbourne station and started the trek at about 11AM, breaking for lunch at Cucksmere Inn. We had a brief overlap with the other group, just long enough to take a picture for commemorating the day (Insta or it didn’t happen, right?)
