Blog 3: My Great Voyage
<p>I had always been fascinated by Eastern Europe, and over winter break, I finally had the opportunity to travel to six cities across six countries: Geneva, Switzerland; Berlin, Germany; Prague, Czechia; Bratislava, Slovakia; and Budapest, Hungary. While I didn’t get to visit any of the former Soviet socialist republics that had piqued my interest as a child, I was able to explore countries that had once been part of the Eastern Bloc, seeing firsthand the lingering impacts of communism in places like Berlin’s GDR, Czechoslovakia’s CSR, and Poland’s PROH.</p>
