Glasgow’s second revolution
<p><em>Twice in the twentieth century, the city of Glasgow was home to a revolution in housing. Last week we looked at the 1915 Rent Strike and the death of the private landlord. This week we look at the end of council housing in the city.</em></p>

Ministers conceded and changed the law to prevent the city’s rent strike spiralling into all-out industrial action while the UK was at war.</p>
