From NYC to Buenos Aires: Working Together Across Borders to Achieve Gender Equality

<p>Across the globe, nations strive to combat inequality in numerous ways and to varying degrees. Most often, however, those of us who reside in urban centers recognize that cities have a leadership role to play in this fight for equity &mdash; as 55% of the world&rsquo;s population resides in urban centers and that number is likely to rise to 68% by 2050<a href="https://medium.com/@globalnyc/from-nyc-to-buenos-aires-working-together-across-borders-to-achieve-gender-equality-9baae5abbb15#_ftn1" rel="noopener ugc nofollow">[1]</a>.</p> <p>The fight to build equitable societies must be launched on numerous fronts &mdash; through identity factors such as race, gender, and sexual orientation and through issues such as economics, employment, homelessness, safety, education, etc. When we design and drive equity solutions in an intersectional manner, we are better able to see the complexity of human lives and less likely to seek a one-size fits all approach to its challenges.</p> <p><a href="https://medium.com/@globalnyc/from-nyc-to-buenos-aires-working-together-across-borders-to-achieve-gender-equality-9baae5abbb15"><strong>Click Here</strong></a></p>
