My firsthand account of COP28 in Dubai

COP28 exceeded my expectations. Firstly, It offered me an opportunity to bridge the gap between my academic pursuits in the United States and the critical climate issues facing my country, Zimbabwe and many communities on the African continent. I ritually visited Zimbabwe pavilion daily and forged connections with passionate individuals, including NGOs, government bodies, and entrepreneurs. What stood out most was connecting with over thirty inspiring young Zimbabweans actively engaged in climate negotiations.
