On April 17th I flew to Bangkok Thailand. Today, I’m in Koh Rong, a small island off the west coast of Cambodia. It’s now Wednesday, April 26th, which makes this my 9th day on the road.
Before I dive into details about my daily explorations, I thought I’d take a step back and share with you my intent for these posts and what you can expect from them.
Leading up to my trip, the main two questions I received from my friends and family were:
- “Where are you going?”
- “Why do you want to travel (for an extended period of time)?”
A follow-up question that often went unasked, or at least, I thought others were wondering and, I found myself asking as I got closer to my departure date was, “why would you leave everything you know and give up everything you had to travel?”
