<p>What seems to be the <a href="https://www.prri.org/research/prri-rns-poll-nones-atheist-leaving-religion/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">number one reason</a> people stop believing the Bible, is them reading it. While it is extremely difficult, and very understandable for many who have been indoctrinated as a young child to do so, especially those who were taught that they would spend an eternity burning in hell fire if they ever did, more and more are doing so. The availability of information and the ability to fact-check, in addition to the many discoveries in science and history makes the change for many inevitable, despite the emotional reality that what their parents and grandparents told them was true, was not. They of course, just like the parents and grandparents of all the other thousands of religions invented by humans throughout history, were taught by their parents and grandparents. Most were very sincere, but all of them required blind faith.</p>
