My experience building credit as an American living in the UK

I see it practically every day across the multiple immigration and expat communities I admin on Facebook, and I’ve commented umpteen times about my experiences with credit — like how I established credit quickly and relatively “easily” in the UK as a new immigrant. So I thought it may be beneficial to write a bit of a synopsis on my view of how to best establish credit in the UK — based on my experience, of course, as other people may have a different spin on this. On the face of it, US Credit does not follow immigrants to the UK when we relocate.
