Republicans are Firing or Intimidating Local Election Officials
<p>Today, I want to talk about a very serious issue — county election staffs. This was prompted by the <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/news/hounded-baseless-voter-fraud-allegations-110000738.html" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">wholesale resignation of the election staff of Buckingham County, Virginia</a>. There is now no way in that county to register to vote or register a candidacy if you wish to run for office.</p>
<p>Buckingham county consistently votes Republican, but the terrible infection of election fraud claims reaches even into Republican strongholds. The result is local officials being driven from office, (falsely) accused of banning Republicans from serving on election staffs, allowing fraudulent ballots, and even accused of treason.</p>
<p>And all of this is the result of state legislatures gerrymandering voting maps after the 2020 census resulting in Republican supermajorities which then lead to Republican takeovers of local election boards.</p>
