An Eclipse of the Heart
<p>Wisdom acquisition often comes from experience rather than from book learning. This is a personal story about my gaining, as a young man, a hint of knowledge and a trace of wisdom in relation to the question of <em>sexual identity</em> among men.</p>
<p>I met the man at a party and, although I had assumed that we were both straight, there was an undeniable sexual attraction between us. Reflecting on this particular incident now leaves me in no doubt that I was bi-sexual and that the guy with the guitar was not. He was strictly heterosexual. He subsequently married and had a family, as did I. But for him, our encounter was simply a form of masturbation. </p>
