EARTHRISE — (Pt 61)

<p>Before the burger completed its journey, it was swiped from her hand. In dumb surprise, she looked at the scattered halves of the sesame-seed bun and its filling on the pavement. Then she noticed Josh standing there. She dipped into the takeaway bag again, but he swiped everything from her hands. Before she could rescue the bag, a boot came down to flatten it. Then she was pushed against the narrow section of brick wall between Orchid and the chemist.</p> <p>&ldquo;Snap out of it,&rdquo; he said.</p> <p>&ldquo;Yeah,&rdquo; said Logan. &ldquo;What d&rsquo;you think you&rsquo;re doing?&rdquo;</p> <p>In his free hand, Josh held a burger himself. Now he threw it aside.
