There’s No Dreaming in the Highlife

I tried many over-the-counter drugs when I first struggled with insomnia. I never liked how I felt on them and I called my doctor. I explained my sleep struggles during my appointment and I explained the issue progressed to the point where I felt like medication should be discussed. In short, I tried a few prescription drugs that did not help in any way when it came to my insomnia. My next choice for a sleep aid was weed. I slept great once I started using it and used it almost every night for the next three and a half years.

There is a lot of talk about weed and sleep these days online. It is clear that not everyone is going to have the same experience when using any sleep aid. My insomnia was worsening by the day, and saying weed gave me my life back is no exaggeration. I used 10–20 mg a night. I went up to 30mg to see what would happen, and I began falling asleep much earlier and waking up with giggles. My coffee even tasted like hot chocolate the next morning. 30mg was far too much, with 10mg being my normal go-to.
