Digital Narratives: Exploring the Impact of Social Media on ESOL Learners’ Language Acquisition

<p>This article investigates the impact of social media on language acquisition among English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) learners. With the integration of digital narratives into daily life, social media platforms offer unique opportunities for immersive language learning experiences. Through a review of current literature and theoretical frameworks, this study examines how social media can facilitate or hinder language development, focusing on the implications for educators and curriculum developers. Findings suggest that while social media presents potential benefits in language exposure and authentic interaction, challenges related to informal language use and digital literacy skills also arise.
